Patricia,
It also appears that if you turn all layers on and export that, that hvac, detail, deck, roof, landscape and plumbing don't export at all.
I also noticed that when you copy and paste everything to a new file that it doesn't take everything, like object items.
I'm done for the night, more work tomorrow

Hi Dawall,
Try this:
- Open your plan. - Choose a tab as working tab. Say you choose the Floor tab. - Click on the name of the tab (Floor in this example), and you will see a menu with the names of all the tabs. - Check the names of the tabs you wish to show in your floor tab. (See the image attached) - All the elements of those tabs will appear (in the Floor tab in this example). - Proceed to export from the working tab (Floor tab in this example)
Also you can move the elements from the tabs they are located. Right click the elements (roofs, trees, etc.)--> Move to plan--> (Floor in this example), or select the element--> Edit--> Move to plan--> (Floor in this example).
Once you see all the elements in a tab, proceed to export from this tab.
Let us know if you need more help

Like Noel, I upgraded to AS3K just to import autoCad drawings of my house addition from my architect. I get the same blank screen. In the FAQ, it says the file must be in R12 or earlier, and she's using 2000. Is that a problem?
She can use my plan from AS3K exported as .dwg, and I can re-import, but all I get from importing hers is a big empty box. If all the dimensions, etc., have to be removed, what good is AS3000? I want a 3D view of her drawing, and since I'm paying her by the hour, it may not be at all cost effective to have her clean the drawing. I might better get a hard copy and draw it in AS3K myself.

Hi Surf City Ricks,
DXF R12 is just for AS18 Punch AS 3000 imports Autocad DWG or DXF 2000 without problems. You don't need to delete the dimensions. Check these items: - Confirm if there is just one plan in the drawing - Ask your architect to "Purge" the drawing. This will take 15 minutes for an experienced Cad drafter - Ask your architect for her dimension settings for this drawing. (Feet - inches or Inches or etc) and be sure to use these setting when you import your plan
Hope this helps!
