Another good post but I guess I'm not very smart (: I figured out how to import one of the metal roofing panels as a custom texture that I can apply to my roofs (thanks to this forum) but I can't figure out how to change the color of the panel.
The panel is blue with shadows so this may be very complex to change but thought I'd ask if someone could point me in the right direction.
Can I change the color of the panel in the material workshop but keep the texture/shadowing intact?
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill, Yes, you can change the color of a texture, or the opacity / brightness, etc using the Material Workshop / Modifier To "paint" a siding texture, for example--> Go to your Material Modifier / Material workshop (depends of your version)--> open the texture (siding in this case)--> using the shapes, create square of the size of the texture--> set the color--> save as a new texture See these images -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patricia |

Patricia,
Overlaying the image with a shape was what I was missing. Thank you very much for pointing this out. I could apply a texture to the roof image I downloaded but when using the colors, I could not "select" anything to color.
I have tried to figure it out over the past couple of days but never did until you posted your step my step.
Thanks so much! This opens a whole new word of possibilities for making my design look the way I want.
Bill

Hi Bill, Thank you for your feedback, I am glad to know it worked! :-) Yes, you are correct, the Material Workshop has many possibilities--> you can add not only different colors but textures. And the best part, it works also with the Punch accessories See this image Let us know if need additional help Patricia |
