Hi John Wheatley,

Well, I think that Punch AS 4000 solves some of your problems. Actually, you will find solutions with AS 18 V8, AS 3000 V10 and Punch interiors

1 - Add/Delete points function: it is included with AS 18 V8; As 4000; AS 3000 V10 and Punch interiors

- Snap bar--> it is included with AS 18 V8; AS 4000; AS 3000 (V7 and V10) and Punch interiors

- Rotation: The 15° interval is only for graphic rotation. You can use the manual rotation available with most of the Punch versions (including your program and version)--> select the object--> Edit--> rotate--> write de desired angle.

- Vertical selection of objects: available with Punch AS 18 V6 and up (including your program and version)--> use the elevation editor--> you can select the objects in the elevation and set the properties, elevations, etc

- Straight lines: use the shift key to draw a line

Thanks for the replies. Yep, I'm using version 8.0 of PPHDP. So, it seems I'm still left sitting on the fence as to whether to look elsewhere or continue on with punch! products. It seems I can add some additional Power Tools to alleviate some of the problems, or upgrade to a more powerful punch! product, which will also still need the assistance of additional Power Tools to reduce the wrinkles. The punch product line does seem more than a little confusing to me though. The newest version of the software is AS3000, but AS4000 is the more feature rich? And trying to figure out what these other variants are is an unwanted headache when you're thinking about laying out hard cash. Obviously the marketing boys have been working overtime and need to take a step back. When all you want to do is document or extend an existing building, or conceptualise a new one, you don't want to find out that a relatively key feature is not in the version you bought, but is in another. Still, the good news for me is that I have at least documented an existing building with the current product I have. Took me around 40 hours, but could probably have done it in half the time if I hadn't been fighting the product so much. I'll just have to see how it goes now with respect to conceptualising extensions to it. I'm not convinced that an upgrade to AS4000 will help me out significantly here, is the message I seem to be getting from the answers so far, particularly since I had overlooked the Elevation Editor, which may help me out with changing an existing design. Well, thanks again for the links and tips .. I will do a little more reading and see if that confirms my thoughts.

I have just upgraded to the new AS4000 v 10. I love it. Is there a place to find crown moldings?

Hi Linda LaFrentz,

Preview bar--> Trim--> Crown trim library

In addition, you can create your own moldings--> Power tools--> Trim designer

Hope this helps
