Hi bluetiereign,
This is a known issue and I reported it to Punch some time ago. The newest V10 versions seem to work OK

Hey Patricia, thanks for the answer. Any way for us to download the upgrade ? I've got the Version 10 upgrade the DXF exporter - but I don't see that for the importer. Are we out of luck since we went out on a limb and bought the software when it first came out ?
I've seen some other posts complaining about Punch's way of 'upgrading'. I have to agree with them. They should offer one download as a service pack for each platform. Ok, I've vented - but this is very frustrating. I guess I'll re-install 3000 to get this done. Grrrr.

Hi bluetiereign,
I agree with this, however, notice that we are talking about patches not about upgrades
The Punch's upgrade policy is very comprensive
Of course, as you know, we (people answering questions at the Forum) are volunteers, not Punch employees, so we can suggest improvements (as anyone can), but they make the decisions

I went ahead an 'upgraded' my 4000 to Version 10. I must say - it is a vast improvement over what I had. With the DXF imported, the previous version just kept crashing, even after exiting the power tool.
I know you guys volunteer your time here - and the forums here are appreciated. But I think Punch! is taking advantage of its loyal patrons in that we have bought every one their products (Super thru 4000) and we have to pay more than everyone else (after an upgrade) just to get the product (a working one) that everyone else is buying. Its rather an odd way of business. Anyway, enough of that.
The Version 10 DXF/DWG importer is stripped of of the 'touch and convert' capabilities, but the program does fine with the DXF imported. Thanks for the heads up. The only drawback...the VRMLEX Version support is still catching up. ;)

My architect sent me her drawings in AutoCad 2005 paperspace (and Tilemode) which contained five sheets. When I import them, some come through, others not. How do I get Arch 4000 V10 to seperate them so I can work on them in Punch?
