Hi johnhoye,
The easiest way to do this is using the freehand roof tool (Roofing tab - 7th icon) and build the roof by pieces
Hope this helps

I agree it may be the easiest but I can't figure out how to use the freehand roof tool. I, like the original post, have an existing roof and the roof wizard just creates something that is not there.

I own Punch 4000 series and I have been having problems to draw roofs with 90 degrees angle because PowerTool or Freehand tools are not able to offer what I need.
My reference for this inquiry is MyHouse 7.0 for Windows. They have a nice tool called Roof Designer. This tool permits to create all the necessary points (called dots) with its own real altitudes the roof needs, each in its own location in that way the roof needs. After, it is necessary to connect the dots. Then, define the polygon and, there is: the roof appears exactly like you want.
Working this way the pitch of each section is a consequence because you have defined the different points, positions and altitudes for each.
I think Punch has not a tool so powerful like this. With Punch tools it is necessary to create both sections separately, defining its slopes (pitch) and then try to put together, what is virtually impossible (I never got it).
It would be better to create all the necessary dots and so on.
In fact, for this reason I had to go back to MyHouse to be sure about my roof designs. But, this way I lost all the benefits Punch ASA 4000 has to offer. It is really a wonderful program except for roofs design.
Hope you can understand what I mean. This intersections created with two sections of a roof in 90 degrees are called LIMAHOYA in Spanish language. Unfortunately I do not know how to translate to English, in spite I was searching the proper word it could be.
I am sure many Punch users could be happy paying the cost for an addition like this: Me the first.

Hi Carlos
In addition, if you have Punch AS 4000, you can add points to your freehand roof and modify their elevation as necessary
Additional note: Hablo Español fluentemente, por lo tanto, si le resulta más comodo puede preguntarme en Español
Saludos
