Hi Jan Owens,

Is very easy, but it has a trick: the categories

Open your new Punch program--> Open Your Punch program--> Go to the Properties bar (right of the screen)--> Materials--> Custom Materials--> Custom--> click on the word "Custom" or the small triangle close to the name (top of the properties bar)--> at the end you'll find the Material organizer--> you can add / delete / rename categories--> Create one or more Categories or Sub categories, according with the materials you will add
3 - Go to the Windows Explorer--> Program Files--> Punch (your old program)--> Textures--> Look for the materials you wish to copy to the new program--> select the materials (the 3 files for each texture *.PTX (the texture), PPV (the thumbnail, and PTI (the material info)--> copy in the new category (or categories) you created or in any other existent category.
In other words don't try to copy the materials and the category file, it will not work

Hope this helps

Thanks for your response. I did move the files in there. But now all the walls are black with the yellow explanation mark. Does this mean I need to reapply the materials to the walls, floors, etc?

Jan Owens,

Yes, you need to reapply the materials, because in your Punch file, the path for the material works for the old version.
In other words, you should inform Punch where is the material

Hope this helps
