Hi dbassett74,

If you mean a 2D layout, yes, you can do this

1 - Select different colors for each tab of your program (Options --> screen colors)

2 - Draw the first layout using the 2D tools included in the Detail tab--> Design--> Select all--> Design--> move to plan (say Landscape or deck, etc)

3 - Draw the second layout using the 2D tools included in the Detail tab--> Design--> Select all--> Design--> move to plan (a different tab from the first layout)

4 - If you are working in / printing from the floor tab (or electrical, etc), you will see a small black arrow at the right of the name. By clicking the small arrow you have the option of viewing or hiding other tabs. Just check the names of the tabs you wish to show (where you moved the layouts). See the image attached.

You can move between tabs, show them together, etc
Of course, you can do this with other elements, including cabinets, but remember that all the cabinets, walls, etc will appear in 3D
Walls can be moved only to the landscape tab, but you can't hide them

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. I'll try a little later today. In AutoCAD, there is a concept of Layers so I guess in Punch, the Tabs are similar to the Layer concept, although in my view, not as intuitive, but I guess it works the same. However, I would also like to show the different views in 3D as well. For example, I'd like to show my clients the original house in 3D then the new deisng in 3D. Any way to do this in the same drawing?

Hi dbassett74,

Is a little different that Autocad, because in Autocad you can hide / show all the layers in all the levels and this doesn't happens in Punch.

Nope, there is not a way to hide / show part of the objects in 3D if they belong to the same family.
Go to liveview--> In the liveview windows--> click on the "pencil icon"(last icon of the liveview menu)--> You can show / hide different elements in liveveview (landscape, roofs, etc)--> in other words you can show to your customers the house with or without the roofs, (for example) but you can't show them (in the same file) the house with the old and new roof

You can render several images (before / after) and create a slide show with fade in / fade out

Hope this helps

I believe there is yet another way. If you only need 1 floor to create your design, then create one version on the first floor, the second on the second floor. Show the LiveView window, then at the top of the screen, click on 'Design' > 'Visible Floors' > 'View Working Floor Only'. Then set your working floor under 'Design' > 'Work on Floor'. This should only show the current floor you are working on in the LiveView Window. Karl

Hi dbernasconi,

Punch's doors and windows can't be copied (any model, Custom or not)
What you can do, after you create a new door or window is "Save to library"
In this way, you can use the door or window in other door
Also, you can duplicate this door or window, so they will be grouped
See attached

Hope this helps

Not only if they are close. You can create a window set (or door set) and separate the modules. The effect is nice and the windows are perfectly aligned

In the images attached, both windows are one piece, created in the Windows designer
