Hi bob nugent, To change the lot size and to activate the "Control L" you must use the Topo Designer Go to Power Tools--> Topo Designer--> Design--> Lot properties--> define the dims and properties of your lot (meaning the working space). Or Power Tools--> Topo Designer--> Control L The max. lot size is 1000x1000' Patricia

Hi golfersaurus, Yes, you can. The property line in Punch is just.... a line. The only difference is the annotation (P.L. and the dimension). This is the way a P.L. appears in a plot plan Other than this, is a common line. If you are going to work with the lots unified, just set the P.L.. If you wish to develop a project for each lot, you can use a fence, edging, etc A very important note. In the post above I clarified that we defined the dims and properties of the lot, meaning the working space or if you prefer, the limits of the Punch world :-) You can't set 3 working spaces in one file, but you can set 3 lots in one working space, divide by P.L. Let us know if you have further questions Patricia

I use the details tab to make my size, then choose the line breaks & thickness...then text to add the measurment the direction I want it...it converts to PL on the right hand side if you want a green one you can't read....

Hi lew wickline, Yes, you can do this because, as I stated, a P.L. is just a line. Two important notes regarding this option 1 - If you draw the PL using the Detail tab, you can use other line thickness or types, however if you use the "Convert to" feature (Properties bar, right of the screen), the lines will be converted to the normal type and thickness of the PLs (available in the Landscape tab) 2 - If you draw the PL using the Detail tab, this is OK for presentation purposes, however, notice that Punch will not "understand" that you are drawing a PL, therefore Punch will not calculate the lot size and will not include this info in the Estimator Patricia

Hi Patricia and Bob, I'm beginning a project. I used Site Planner to draw my property lines. I took these lines off of my survey using the bearing method. The property lines looked good. I saved the file and transfered it to my working drawing upon closing Site Planner. I have less that 144K ft.sq.to my property. Some of the property lines are outside of the AS 4000 drawing area. I can not work with anything outside of the active area. I can't make the Site Planner drawn property lines fit in the active drawing area of AS 4000. What up with that? Thanks, Brian

Hi I've started a new project, used Topo Designer to create the lot dimensions. I have an irregular shaped boundary so Topo has made a rectangle using the two longest boundary dimensions. I then used Site Planner to draw the lot boundary lines as per the bearings from the site survey. Problems: 1/ The resultant site boundary in Site Planner is upside down. 2/ The boundary is at an angle to the Topo Designers rectangular lot allocation as its 20 degrees off north. I'm in Australia which maybe accounts for #1 :-) but how do you rotate the lot to fit the Topo rectangle? regards Malcom
