Lets define some concepts:
- if you have two walls and you join them using the arrows of your keyboard, you are connecting the walls--> this means that the walls are together but they are independent--> they don't share the properties and work as 2 separated walls (in the image attached, see the gray and blue walls)
- if you have two walls and you join them using the mouse, you are merging the walls--> this means that the walls are fused--> they share the properties and they work as only one wall (in the image attached, see the green and orange walls)
In the corners, you can see the difference (in 2D and 3D)
If your walls are not merged (fused), creating a closed perimeter, the lawn will enter in your basement and the Roof wizard power tool will not work
Now, if you added a break wall point or an extra handle (add points feature), this is not interrupting the walls' merging
In other words, to be sure that you have a closed perimeter, check the unions between walls with your mouse and adjust as necessary. Of course, if you prefer to delete points, use the "delete points feature"(the - sign with a dot, right side of the screen)
