Hi again! I just started another house plan. This one is a bungalow style. Before I started the drawing, I set my floor thickness to 6" and also set my working elevation to 6" when I started to put in the interior walls. Everything was working great and looked perfect last night when I saved it. This morning, I went to continue, and see that all my interior walls have "fallen" back to 0 elevation!!! WHY??? This is a 2800 sq. ft. house, so I have a lot of interior walls. Do I have to reset the elevation every time?

Hi suzyQ,

The walls are supposed to "remember" their elevations if you saved the files
The problem as you are describing it, IMO, can be related with two things
- A problem when you saved the file (so actually it didn't save)
- For some reason, one or more interior walls become exterior walls, therefore they adopted the exterior walls properties

Try to verify this problem with a simple file (an empty file with few walls), save it--> close the file and open it again and see if the problem happens again

Hi Patricia, I have it fixed now, but I am not sure what the problem actually was. I checked all my walls, and the ones that should be exterior were, in fact exterior, and the same for the interior walls. I ended up just changing the elevation for all my interior walls again. This time it DID save, and all is well again. I'm actually thinking it might have been a "Vista" issue...everything "funky" that happens I contribute to a Vista problem, because none of this happened before I got it! ;) Thanks for your help though!

Hi SuzyQ

Glad to know that the problem is solved :-)
I saw this problem before Vista, even before XP.
Anyway, check if it happens again and let us know, so we can learn
