Hi Ed,
If you are using a V8 or other older version, Punch will set the 7.5 pitch internally but will show the pitch as 8.
If you are using a V10 program or a new program, you can set the pitch with precision of 1/16 (See attached) 1 - Set your plan units --> Design--> unit of measure--> Precision--> set the desired precision 2 - Select your roof--> set the pitch as desired

Can anyone tell me how to have a pitch on the end faces of a hip roof different from the side faces>

Hi Bill Kozie, The first step--> don't use the Punch hip roof tool--> you should use the free hand roof tool to develop a hip roof with different pitches, because, in order to change the pitch of the parts, you must select each part separately In addition, when you change the pitch, the parts will not join with a 45° angle. Try this--> draw two sides (left / right or front back)--> draw the additional sides--> move the ridge points until they meet with the same elevation See image attached Patricia |
