Hi Dashman,
The only way to do this is by creating two Punch files--> one without the addition (lets call it File A) and the second with the addition (lets call it File B)--> Create the Estimator spreadsheet for File A--> Export to Excel (or a similar program) --> Create the Estimator spreadsheet for File B--> Export to Excel (or a similar program) --> open both spreadsheets --> Set a new spreadsheet as File B cost estimation - File A cost estimation Let me know if you experience problem with the spreadsheets, I can help you

I had thought of that but was hoping there would be an easier way. I can handle it from here. Thanks for your quick reply as usual.

Hi john groetsch,
Although Platinum V8 is a rather old version, the Estimator Power Tool does a very good job
Regarding the materials that will be computed in the BOM (bill of materials), this will depend of two factors 1 - The level of detail and precision of your project 2 - The structural accuracy--> When your project is complete, and before the use of the Estimator Power Tool, you must define the materials, structural settings and sections using the Framing Editor Power tool--> the exactness of this information will determine the accuracy of the bill of materials
