I have 2 hp printers. One for 8.5x11 (HP photosmart2610) and the other 11x17(deskjet pro K8600). When I attempt tp print to scale on the 8600, 4 pages show up in the print mananger with 3 blank pages. How do I correct this? ALSO - How do I determine the actual print boundries when drafting? In other words< How do I edit my final copy so I can see if mutiple, to scale drawings, will fit within my 11x17 page? I must be missing something because so far I find this programs print layout option to be frustratingly primitive at best. Rich

Hi rich, In order to print, Punch collects all the info in the plan, so if you have any object (even a dot) in any corner, Punch will consider it as part of the plan and print it --> in this case you'll see this as blank pages This is what I do--> - If you have a PDF writer, you can create your own scaled PDF files. Just follow this short tutorial http://www.punchhelpers.com/pdfprint.html There are many free PDF writers, go to www. download.com and perform a search with the keyword "free PDF' - Other interesting (and free) resource is the DWF conversion. You can download the DWF writer for free in the Autodesk page and it works in the same way that the PDF writer. The recipient needs to install the DWF viewer (it is free, and the printing companies use it) You can see more info about DWF printing in this page of my website http://www.punchhelpers.com/dwffiles.html Patricia |
