Hi phxphun,
Curved staircases are tricky, but not complicated after you visualize some concepts
When you use the curved stairway tool (Floor tab or Deck Tab) you are tracing the staircase following an arc. This arc (usually) looks like a "parabola", not as a circular arc. If this arc shape is not a regular form (symmetrical, for example), then the steps will be irregular In some cases, as your case, the curve is not smooth and you can see an "angle" You can do a simple exercise to visualize the concepts--> Go to the Detail tab --> the 5th icon is an arc and the 6th icon is a circular arc--> trace both shapes --> convert to -> staircase --> visualize the different characteristics of the steps and shapes In the image attached, you can see a circular arc (in blue) --> convert to --> staircase (in red) If the circular arc makes an exact 90° angle (you can control this during the arc generation), then the last step will be perpendicular with the first step, and will meet the floor of the upper level without any gap
