I'm using AS300-V10 and I'm trying to simulate bedroom ceilings on a one story home that have an additional half inch of drywall that is 12 inches wide around the perimeter of the rooms on the ceiling . Any ideas on how I can accomplish this? Using a half inch floor with a cutout raised up to half an inch under the ceiling or a raised floor acting as a ceiling put the cutout through everything and I see the sky (no roof yet). The center of the rooms ceilings should be a half inch higher than the periphery of the rooms ceilings. The closest I have come is creating a floor the same size as the ceiling and before I complete it I move in 12 inches and draw the center cutout portion and then return to the outer lines parallel to the line going in but not touching. Sort of like drawing a giant bold "C" with the two open ends almost touching. I have to leave a very small gap or I can't add color or materials effectively. Any suggestions on a better way to do it would be most appreciated.

Hi samweidman,
In my opinion, you did the right thing. The "closed C" is the way I'd do. You can try other combinations, like the 13" in the "C" and 12" in the center. Other than this, of course, you can develop the second ceiling and the pieces with the 3D workshop
