I'd like to add a short note because we're in the Platinum section.

In Punch AS 4000 you can select the accessories either from the floor tab as Lyle points or in the "Objects" tab (clicking the black triangle close to the "Objects" word)--> Objects--> Accessories--> Curtains, etc

In Platinum 8, the accessories are only in the "Objects" tab (clicking the black triangle close to the "Objects" word)--> Objects--> Accessories--> Curtains, etc

To customize the dimensions, right click on each object in the preview bar.

Hope this helps

Hi fay,

Well, they are not accessories for curtains, is the Accessories Library, including curtains, shutters, etc.
As I stated in my post above, in Platinum 8, the Accessories Library is in the "Objects" tab (clicking the black triangle close to the "Objects" word)--> Objects--> Accessories Library--> Curtains, etc

Check the image attached

Is there any program that will give me additional plants for my Pro Platinum? I have a lot of tropicals in my garden and I find that the included plants is a bit small. Thanks for your help.

Hi Rudolf H. Rahn

Unfortunately, Punch Platinum V8 has not the Plant Editor Tool mentioned above. However, you can import Custom plants to your program
To do this, unzip any of the plants at http://forums.punchsoftware.com/WebX?13@@.fac57a9 --> go to the Windows Explorer and move the files (3 for each plant) to Program Files > Punch Platinum > Textures > Custom Plants > SampleUserPlants > Choose a category

Hope this helps

Hi sids,

How to put a mirror or picture on the wall
There are two or three ways to insert a framed art work or picture:

- Import your picture with the frame using the Photoview (power tools)
- You import your picture --> Open photo view image file --> Photo view properties --> (say W= 2' / H= 3').
Then, Edit --> Set object elevation --> (say 60")
Select a frame from the objects tab: Objects --> Living room accessories
Open it with 3D workshop --> re size W= 2' / H= 3'--> close the workshop (Update changes?-->Yes)
Then, Edit --> Set object elevation --> (60")
Align both objects (photograph and frame in the plan)
So you will have the photograph and the frame with the same size and in the same position. Also, you can use the elevation editor to set the elevation

In addition, with you can import your picture as texture and apply the texture over a 2D shape (workshop)

Some samples illustrating the methods above
Check the signs of the stores in this image of a food court
http://www.punchhelpers.com/commercial2.html
The green sign is a POB object developed with the 3D workshop
The remaining signs are Photoshop objects and I imported them as images with Photoview
The banners of the first store are POBs (Punch objects) and I used the image as texture (This is for AS 4000 V8 and V10, AS 3000 V10 and IDS)
The same image (different angle)
http://www.punchhelpers.com/commercial5.html

To produce a mirror image: create a Punch 3D live view from the point of view where the mirror will be--> export to BMP or JPG, etc--> hang in the wall following the procedure above

Glass effect: if you are working with a V10 version, you can add a surface elaborated with the 3D workshop and set the transparency (in the 3D workshop)as you can see in the image attached
If you are using a V8 version or older you can simulate the glass with a picture behind the window / door or you can build a 2d vertical board with the 3D workshop and texture it with sky, trees, etc, or just a plain green / blue color (see attached)
In both situations, elevate the board / picture to fit the window / door glass pane

Hope this helps
