Hi gmuppet,
First thing, don't use Punch until you do the procedure below
When you opened your Punch program, Punch opened a file called "Untitled 1", then you opened your file called (for example)"myhouse.PRO". You worked with your file--> you saved your file and you tried to close the program and Punch asked "Save changes before closing?". Punch was asking about "Untitled 1" (empty), so if you answered "Yes" and then "Save as"--> "myhouse.PRO", then you saved an empty file. However, there is a way to get your work back (probably). Go to your Windows Explorer--> Program Files--> Punch! Home Design - Platinum--> Data--> you'll find some files called ProDataX.dat (X will be a number ProData1.dat, ProData2.dat, etc)--> copy these files to other folder--> rename each file as *.PRO--> ProData1.PRO, ProData2.PRO, etc Open your Punch program and open one by one the files ProDataX.PRO you created (File--> Open..etc). Probably, one of them is your file. Let us know if you need additional help Patricia |

Thank you, Patricia. Unfortunately, it seems that's it's too late for me to recover that file. I have used the program several times since that mishap and now all the .dat files in the Data folder contain less important stuff I've been working on in the last few days. It's funny, because I would say I am an experienced computer user and yet I had absolutely no idea what had happened until you explained it to me. Anyway, this has been a good lesson for me. :) Cheers!
