When you use a Punch Power Tool, you can use just this PT.
You must close the PT (and save or not the modifications) in order to use the main program or other PT

Therefore, use the Topo designer--> save the topo file (or close without modifications)--> go to the main program,

Very interesting!. I experienced the "second workshop opened" issue, but I didn't know why this happened
I also use two spyware + a cookie killer sw, however, I never experienced the closing PT issue, even before I installed Lavasoft.
This is a solution that works for some users and situations, but unfortunately, not for all
