To convert a Punch file into a PDF document, you need to get a program including a PDF Writer
There are several free sw in the web, I'd suggest a visit to www.download.com and perform a search with the keywords "free PDF"
Once the sw is installed, it will create a virtual printer called PDF writer (please check the image attached)
Open your Punch plan--> print to scale (or to fit page)--> don't select the "real printer"(HP, Cannon, etc)--> you should select the Acrobat PDF Writer

It is not necessary to use the PDF format to send an image of the design in an email. Any image format will work. JPG or PNG work nicely. BMP is the best for a high quality image but the files are very large. PDF works too.

In the file "save as" dialogue box I only get one choice to save the file and that is as a punch file. How do I save the file as a JPG, PNG or BMP? I would also like to know how to save the file to export to Kinko's to print on a plotter.

Hi cindy dale,
The Punch files can be "Save As" only as Punch files, however, you can export them in a diversity of formats
You can export to DXF in most versions and Export to DWG with versions 7.x, 8.x and 10.x
Other resources
1- Print the plan, scan it, and save it as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.
2- Visualize your plan, and take a shot of the screen Print Screen-->Go to MS Paint-->Paste--> Trim the image--> Save as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.
3- If you have a PDF writer, you can create your own PDF files. Just follow this short tutorial

Hello . . . after I complete my drawing pages, is there a way to have my drawing be shown---AND PRINT---on a page with borders and a name/project plate/area?

Hi there,
There are different options, depending of your version
The border (frame)can be created with the rectangle tool (Detail tab)
Regarding the title blocks --> Go to Templates --> templates library --> Title blocks --> drag and drop the desired template.
Confirm that these elements and the plan are all visible => proceed to print
In the Detail tab, you will find different hatches, dotted lines, etc
