Hi Dicky Doolittle, I can think in several reasons
1 - if the objects are spread in a large area or lot and you are printing a multipage plan to scale, then yes, probably the preparation time will be long, 2 - If you didn't experience this problem in the past, Try to uninstall the latest drive of the printer and install an older version. Sometimes, there are conflicts among the drivers' versions
3 - Try to print your plan as a PDF file http://www.punchhelpers.com/pdfprint.html In this way, you will be able to check if this is a problem with the printer or with the file Patricia |

Thank you Patrica for responding. There are no old drivers for this printer.I printed my plan as a PDF file with an acceptable time frame. What does that mean now?

Hi Dicky Doolittle, The PDF programs work as virtual printers, so if a Punch file prints OK to PDF but it doesn't print OK to your HP printer, I would say that the problem is with the HP printer and not with the file I'd suggest again that you check the drivers. I saw HP printers with problems using a driver a week after the installation Anyway, if you got a PDF file, you can print directly from the PDF file Patricia |

I had the same issue with an HP 7780. Some files would print just fine, and then all of a sudden the particular file I was working on wouldn't print. The *.pdf workaround printed just fine. Actually I prefer the *.pdf method now because now I can send that to everyone that doesn't have the program, and they can view the file in detail. I can also zoom in and print certain areas which I don't believe you can do within Punch Pro. Thanks for the advice.
