Hello,
I have an old version of Punch Home and Landscape Design Premium that ran on "Windows XP and and higher". I am trying to install it on Windows 10 machine. I have tried all of the 'easy' solutions on line - including installing as an administrator, changing with Windows XP compatibility mode, using the compatibility troubleshooter, turning off Fire wall, anti-virus and AUC before installing - all to no effect. I never get an actual error message that the software is incompatible. The disc just spins indefinitely.
Any help/tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Tom

Thanks, Patricia.
Version 14.0.2
I brought the DVD to another computer with Windows 7 and it installed without problem after running the compatibility troubleshooter (it chose Windows XP SP 2). This tells me that it is not an issue with the DVD itself, but more an issue with the Windows 10 installation.
Again, thanks for any help you can provide.
Tom

Not that this matters, but the correct name is:
Punch Home and Landscape Design SUITE (not Premium), Version 14.0.2

Hi Tom,
thank you for the info about the program's name and version number.
Punch Home and Landscape Design Suite Version 14 was the predecessor of the Premium version. Just a note, Legacy Programs (where you posted your original message) are up to V12, this is why our Forum Host moved your post to the correct section.
Now regarding the installation: sometimes, Win 10 is tricky and some settings are not clear. Try these tips:
- If the installation did not begin when you inserted the Punch! Home Design Software Installation DVD into your DVD-ROM drive, Autorun may be turned off on your computer.
- To install Punch! Home Design Software if installation does not begin automatically 1 - Insert Punch! Home Design Software Installation DVD into your DVD-ROM drive. 2 - Navigate to your computer disk drives (for example, Start => Computer). 3 - Double-click the DVD-ROM drive (most computers will begin the installation at this point). 4 - Double-click SETUP.
Hope this helps. |
