Hello Jo, Indeed, using Punch Software you can develop buildings looking as the 2 images that you uploaded. However, the description of all the steps will take more than the ~32000 characters allowed for each post! Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components. In addition, you will find free tutorials in my Website and Facebook page Check my galleries to see different images, styles, etc. If you are interested, this is the link for the V20 eBook for Windows. My eBook includes tutorials about starting and developing a project, setting floors and elevations. Hope this helps. |

Thank you Patricia for your replies!
I already visit your site and you have interesting material, thank you for sharing it!
I think that people should not be shy to share their experience so we can all grow together in this community.
BTW, I also bought your book "Training Tools & Tutorials V20 for Win" and yes I'm training, testing, doing all kind of trials and errors.
Question: How do I make a column that is 9'-0" high, the base of it is 2'-0" wide and the head is 4'-0" wide to the right and the thickness of the column is 18".
How can I get this "V" angle on the right side of my column?
Thank you again!
Jo

I will be glad to help, but I am not sure if I understand your questions. Can you post an image, picture or sketch of the column? |

Hi Jo,
You can create this column using the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool. Follow these steps:
1 - Open the Power Tool (Design => Launch Power Tool => 3D Custom Workshop). 2 - Select 2D Front View => draw the shape (exactly as you did in your post). 3 - Go to 3D => use the Extrude Tool => Select => set the desired thickness. 4 - Texture and save to your library. Your column is ready!
Additional tips and trick in my eBook (starting at page 362)
Hope this helps.
