So I finished saving a new design and I came back to it and there is a error message saying that this file has been damaged, or was created by a more recent version of Punch! Home Design. Will I be able to get my design back or do I have to start over ?

Hi there, Sometimes, if the software closes unexpectedly, and you open the program again (immediately), it opens a recovery file (automatically). However, if you are getting this error message, the file is lost. Usually, if you check the file, the size is 0 kb. This problem happens for different reasons. One of them is => if you did several (and consecutive) 3D renderings of a large file => this means that the issue is related with the video card. This is why, when I am doing several renderings, I create a special file for the renderings, but in the meantime, I keep the original file. Answering to your question: unfortunately, it is not posible to recover the file. Hope this helps. |

Same issue and same version except I am not doing any rendering. I have a new computer. I simply did a save as and made a revision in 2D and now the file is lost with this same error message. the client now want to go back to that design and I have to redo the entire design. This issue needs a fix!!! or an explanation other than a video card.
