Hi - I have v20.0.3.1019 of Punch! Landscape, Deck and Patio running on Windows 10 Pro. I noticed in Task Manager that Punch shows as 32 bit. Is there a 64 bit version of this software? I'm interested in speeding up processing when I make a change to topography contour lines while 3D is displayed.
Thanks, Tom

Hi there,
Punch V20 is a 32 bit program. A 64 bit version is coming soon.
In the meantime, in order to save time and resources, two tips: - Develop and change your topography in 2D => Design => Update Topography Grid => then you can go to 3D. - Verify / check / update the settings and drivers of your video card.
Hope this helps. |

Hi - thanks, hopefully 64 bit will be soon. Will I have to pay for the upgrade?
My current computer is an older Intel i5, and it takes about 8 seconds to update the topography when I update, whether 3D is on or not. I learned quickly to turn off the 3D view when making topography changes, so at least I can make multiple changes before applying them.
Once topography is updated, 3D navigation graphics are very fast.

I am not a Punch! employee, so you will need to discuss the price conditions with the Punch! sales dept. Depending of the conditions, 8 seconds is not too bad. Usually, I develop the topography at the end, but if you developed the topography, while you are working on other areas, you can deactivate the topography (Design => Options). Or you can use 3D clear view. Hope this helps. |

In my case, I'm trying to design a retaining wall, and topography had to be done first. Thanks for your help! Tom
