Using Version 17.7.1.1009 Is there a way to change the fill color of the wall on 2D floor layout so it is different for each floor? I would like to be able to differentiate between the walls on each floor when I view "All Floors" so I can better visualize the relative positions of the walls for load bearing purposes.

Hi there,
With V17.7, you can do this using the shapes and patterns in the Detail tab. Try this => outline the walls in order to create the shapes => select and add hatches as desired. You can also change the shapes and hatches to other tabs: in this way they will appear with different colors.
The programs V20 and V21 include an additional tab with Drawing Styles, with different types of lines, colors, patterns, etc.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I am still having a problem with this. I do not seem to be seeing what is necessary with the detail tab to follow your instructions. 1. Does Punch have more than one product with the same version number? What I have is Home & Landscape Design version 17.7.1.1009 that is about 5 years old. 2. When you say to "add hatches" is that anything specific? Is it a repetition of a specific alpha character or is it a drawing of repetitive lines? etc. 3. I do not see how this relates to showing colors. Thanks again.

Hello,
Version 17.7 was released in 2014 and it included several titles with the same version number.
Although your post is in the Professional section, and in order to provide an accurate answer, can you confirm the complete name of your program? (such as Home & Landscape Design Professional or Home & Landscape Design Landscape, for example)
On the PC you will find this information in the main menu => Help => About… |

The info in Help/About is just:
Punch Software Home and Landscape Design NexGen New Technology Version: GRN-2742965401-1771 Serial Number: GRN-2742965401-1771
When I first posted this question I could not find a selection for that name and picked the PRO because I have previously used it as well.

Hi there,
It was because your program was NexGen Series (discontinued many years ago). You version is currently called Punch Home and Landscape Design Essentials, so, in order to avoid confusions. Forum Host moved your post to this section.
Now, regarding your question, my answer was accurate for the Home & Landscape Design Professional version (where you posted the questions), however, there are not hatch / pattern tools in the Home & Landscape Design version.
Therefore, it is not possible to differentiate the walls with your program.
Hope this helps.

It at least helps to know whether this was possible with the version I have. I am an infrequent user, but will have to consider an upgrade to a current version. Will check with Punch tomorrow to see if they have any special upgrade pricing. Thanks for your help and sorry for the confusion. I have been impressed with your responses to several questions you have answered for me over the years. Was still surprised to get such a quick response on a Sunday afternoon. It is appreciated. Thanks.
