Just purchased Home Design Architectural series 21 V21.0.08 (210907.1)
There doesn't seem to be an option to adjust precision when selecting Metric Units like there is when selecting English Units. Preferences/ Measurements .... Using English Units you can set precision to 1/16 of and inch but the whole precision field is missing when you select Metric Units.
I want to be able to show measurements on the plan in millimetres. The default seems to be 2 decimal places (10mm) and it does seem to round up and down so to within 5mm ... (which is what, about 3/16"?) It still seems pretty rough.
Is there some other way I can get it to show dimensions in mm?
thanks,
Martin

Hi there, No problem! Location => Preferences Menu => Measurements. Also, Main Menu => Design => Unit of Measure. Default settings: By default, the program determines the Unit of Measure based on the user's computer location and settings, using the following default => Metric Units – X.XXXX m or change as necessary. These default units can be changed in the Unit of Measure menu. See image below. PG 148 Units Metric.jpg (32kb) downloaded 0 time(s).Hope this helps. |

Thanks Patricia, great work around.... I tried it in the Preferences => Measurements Menu and it didn't seem to change anything but in the Design=> Units of Measure it worked instantly on the current drawing. I see now I failed to check the box to "open existing drawings using these settings" using the first Method which would save that setting going forward.
Brilliant :-)
Thanks so much <3
