Hello,
I am using Home Design Studio 21, V 21.0.8 (210907.1) on an frist gen 13" MacBook Pro M1 running Ventura 13.4 w/16GB Memory.
I have created a trapezoidal property boundary (4 acres), and have slopes on the outer edges of left and right rear sides, as well as an approximate 3' slope to the road on the right front. I also have a slope the property line on the left forward area. I have the house and garages at zero elevation, and have worked from that beginning, attempting to put in the elevations setting for the rest of the property from there. Everything seems to be going as it should, until and here is my question. When I switch into 3D viewing mode and move around to "inspect" what I have input, the outer edges are all at the zero point of elevation. It seems that outside of the property area, all elevation points revert to the my zero elevation starting point. What options are available to "eliminate" this discrepancy? Moving the topography lines/edges outside of the property lines seems to negate their existence. I don't want to change the property lines to conform to the display area, but it seems, to me, that short of starting from scratch, with the lowest elevation point as zero, and I would really rather not.
Thanks

Hello,
Just a confirmation: is your program Home Design Studio 21 for Mac or Windows? You stated that you are using a Mac computer, but you posted your question in the Windows section. |

Thank you for clarifying the full name of the program. The computer is not important in this case.
I will proceed to move your post to the correct location. |

Hi there,
in this case, your best option is defining the topography by areas using Building Pads (with different elevations) instead of Topography Lines. To find more about the Building pads: User Guide - Page 336
Hope this helps |
