Hello I am using v21 Pro. I am trying to draw my site plan. I selected it in landscape tools, polygon shape. The frontage is 190' wide. It is really difficult to get the mouse to stop at exactly 190'. Is there a way to resize the line to be precise? The depth down one side is 308', but the page caps out at 185'. How can I change this? Thanks!

You can use the Resize Segment Tool (outlined in blue in the image below) => select the segment => set the desired dimension. I tried to draw the depth and the line would only "max" out at 185' and then the page ended. Can I resize the page first?

I guess that it is the workspace. I am trying to draw my 139' by 308' lot for my site plan. It will not let me draw a line longer than 185' Thanks

Why you can't draw more than 185'? Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Thank you for your help with this. I was able to click Design, Lot Properties, and set the lot to 139' by 308'. I do have a couple of other questions though. I am trying to draw my lot out as attached. There is a jog out of the corner. I would like to draw an easement on it (green line) and a .22 acre subdivision (in pink). I am having difficulties drawing the jog. It would start 68' 6" from the south west corner, then veer off at a 63.33 deg angle for 46.68'. Is there an easy way to do this? Can I also plot elevations for each point of the property for a true site plan? Thanks again IMG_5760.jpg (48kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

Draw the lot using the Property Line tool or using the polygon tools in the Detail tab => Convert To => Property Line. Originally Posted by: bodhi5 Can I also plot elevations for each point of the property for a true site plan? Yes, use the topography tools and setting for the different topography elevations. Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the User Guide (this is important). In order to get started, try to create elements or a simple plan not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components and solutions. If you are interested, my eBook for V21 Learning Punch! Software: Training, Tools and Tutorials for V21 for Windows includes more than 610 pages and more than 1300 color images (showing all the features, tutorials, screen guides, tables, examples, rendering results and screenshots as well as the updates). Topics and tools are linked on the screen using more than 2300 hyperlinks. Hope this helps. |
