I have a jpg of a floor plan. I can't figure out where to place it. What folder to put it in? Load Floor Plan Trace Image from Library... it takes me to a folder called Multi Story Plans. I can't find that folder? Thanks Lisa

When you post questions at the Forum, please inform the exact name (Architectural Series or Essentials, etc) and version number of your program (V15 or V18 or V21, etc). On the PC you will find this information in the main menu => Help => About… On the Mac this info is on the title menu => About…
Different programs and versions include different features, so we need the information in order to provide the correct solutions.
Please, note that, if we don't have this information, we can't answer your questions. |

Hi there, Originally Posted by: Bracken22 Load Floor Plan Trace Image from Library... it takes me to a folder called Multi Story Plans. I can't find that folder? You won't find this folder because this is part of the program. These plans are the ones included with the program, and you are allowed to trace them. Originally Posted by: Bracken22 I have a jpg of a floor plan. I can't figure out where to place it. What folder to put it in? In your case, you should use the Trace Feature => Main Menu => Go to => Design => Floor Plan Trace Properties => the Trace menu will open => Set Image => Look for the image file in your computer (acceptable formats are bmp, jpg, png, tiff or ptx) You can see more about the trace feature in the User's Guide - Page 400 Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components and solutions. If you are interested, my eBook for Punch V21 for Mac includes lots of tutorials and how-to guides. Also, I have other eBooks with step by step GuidesHope this helps. |
