Hello,
I am using Home & Landscape Pro version 18.
It appears that materials are applied to a surface from the top down. Is this correct? Is there a way to change this?
Also, I have created a .jpg file of a wall of tile that is the exact size of the rectangular object I am trying to apply it to. I have imported it as a material. I have the dimensions for height and width correct and do not have "stretch" selected for either dimension. I have chosen "NONE" under seamless options. Yet, when I apply this material, the material is stretched horizontally. What is causing this?
Thanks so much for your help!!!

There is no way to change the default. You can, of course, flip or change the textures. If you created the texture with a certain dimension of the object, the texture will stretch in that direction. Also depends of the characteristics of the objects and the settings of the applied materials Hope this helps. |

I am simply drawing a small bathroom for my sister-in-law who is having a remodel. She wants to see if she likes how a layout of the tile surround for a tub looks with the tile she has selected. I created an object in 3D Custom Workshop that was 5'w x 5'-6"h x .25"d to create the back wall of tile surround for a tub. (There is a different accent tile going above this tile so I created a separate object for the accent tile but that doesn't impact my issue). I imported a single piece of tile as a material. This is when I discovered that the material was applied from the top down. I didn't like the vertical spacing of the tile that occurred when the tile was applied from the top down (the top row of tiles was full height and the bottom row of tiles became a sliver). Since I wanted to split the difference and have both the top row and bottom row of tiles be partial pieces, I created a .jpg with every row of tile like I wanted it and created it to the exact dimensions of my workshop object. I imported this .jpg as a material and defined the dimensions of the material. Yet, when I apply this material to my object, it stretches the image horizontally (vertically is fine). I do not have "stretch" selected as an option. This is what I meant by the third part of my question. Any insights as to why this works this way? Thanks!
