Hi rxp,
In my experience, the dimension you enter in Punch's windows (Dimension boxes) is the distance between both axis of the trim

perhaps I am wrong, but I guess that the user asked how to input the dimensions when you customize a window.
What you say is OK, but if you draw a wall and insert a window, you will confirm that you can insert a window wider than the wall
