Hi BigMur,
I just tried in my AS 3000 V7 and V10 and in both programs this works OK
To verify if the CTRL functions are allowed and the key assignment, I'd suggest a system checking in the Control Panel of your computer--> keyboard. In some computers I found these settings in System--> Hardware--> device manager
In addition, if you are using V10, did you assign CTRL keys for the selection filters? (bottom of the screen)
In the image attached you can see all the elements select with CTRL A and the location of the selection filters
Let us know if you need additional help

Hello Hello Patricia,
I tried changing the CTRL filter in the v10 I installed. It still wouldn't recognize when I held the CTRL button to do sellections, copy or cuts etc. The CTRL keys work in every program on my computer and I never had that trouble with v18 I was previously using. The keyboard is a standard type, and just in case I tried updating the driver since you mentioned it and it was the most up to date driver available. This is the craziest thing I've run into for a long time. Thanks for your suggestions but it still won't work :-( . Have a great day.
Bigmur

Hi Bigmur,
In Punch--> open the CTRL filter--> uncheck all--> close the program--> open again and see if they are really all unchecked--> check if the CTRL keys are working
A Punch user told me few weeks ago that he checked and unchecked the CTRL filter several times until this worked
Try this and let us know about the progress
