I have a set of drawings in a cad format. No problem to import but after that it gets confusing.
The imported floor does not match the "background" paper.
I cannot get the floors to calculate sq ft.
I want to identify the floors as basement, first floor, second floor and have them on one plan as layers.???????

Hi Michael Demersky, -The imported floor does not match the "background" paper--> The first question is: is the plan scale matching the Punch working plan?--? Check the scale in the legend of the CAD plan--> Open your Punch program--> Design--> Plan scale--> both scales must be = Also, if the CAD plan has hidden layers or references out of the plan, these elements will be imported and will change the insertion point of the CAD plan However, if you need to move the plan in order to center it---> Edit--> select all--> Design--> Move entire plan--> or you can use the arrow keys in your keyboard - I cannot get the floors to calculate sq ft.--> the floors will be calculated after you trace them--> remember that the elements in the CAD plan you imported are just lines, therefore you must explain Punch what each element means using the "Convert to" button (Properties bar) - I want to identify the floors as basement, first floor, second floor and have them on one plan as layers: You must separate the layers in CAD and import one level each time Let us know if you need additional assistance Patricia --> My website: www.punchhelpers.com--> My NEW e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Importing, Exporting and Printing --> My Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links |

I am trying to import *.dwg files into a kitchen layout that are provided by the cabinet maker. When I do so I get an error that tells me that the software in not installed correctly or that I do not have enough memory. Memory is not the issue. Any suggestions to overcome this error? Thank you for any help you may give.
