Hi Greg Edgington,
With Punch AS 4000, you can import the 2D cad files and use just in the floorplan as a 2D symbol (not visible in liveview)
With the new V10 programs (Interiors, AS 3000 V10) you can import the objects in the 3D workshop as 3DS files and convert them in Punch objects I am working on a tutorial about this, I intend to publish it within a week
Hope this helps

I gather from Greg's message that I can import 2d CAD files into AS-4000 & 3D files into AS-3000 3D workshop. Does that also mean that AS-4000 will not import 3D CAD files into the 3D workshop and when will you add that? Additionally, will I have to purchase 4000 (or an upgrade) to get this? I just purchased AS-4000 and it has not arrived, yet. It would be most helpful if I had the ability to import 3D CAD files.

Hi Kevin,
The DXF / DWG importer tool (included with the V6 versions and up) works only with the main Punch program, imports only 2D files, and it doesn't import files to the cabinet wizard or the 3D workshop
What you can do with the the V10 versions of the 3D workshop is import 3DS files
Lets us know if you need additional help
