Hi Mark S Borders

With AS 4000, you can export your plans in a variety of formats

1- Print the plan, scan it, and save it as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.

2- Visualize your plan, and take a shot of the screen Print Screen-->Go to MS Paint-->Paste--> Trim the image--> Save as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.

3- If you have Acrobat writer (or you get a free PDF sw): Open the plan and ask for the option "Print to fit page"-->print to file -->select your printer as "Acrobat PDF writer". To trim or save as, you can do it in the Acrobat PDF reader. Also, you can Print to Scale, changing the size of the paper

4 - Create your plan--> DWG exporter. Notice that in Punch, you don't "Save as DWG", you must "Export to" DWG files (Properties bar--> Power Tools--> DXF / DWG Exporter)

Hope this helps

Hi Patricia I've used 'print screen' and saved as jpeg-not too clear. I'll try save as btmp. I also tried print, then scan but that's lousy quality. I exported plan to DWG exporter and it says "file already exists-do you want to replace?" So I presume the file is already DWG format, correct? My problem is I downloaded a couple of DWG DXF viewers, to email to my client hoping they could open the file on the same viewer but I can't get the file to open on that viewer. Thanx

Hi Mark,

Nope. The Punch plans are *.PRO format
If you have a plan called "myplan.PRO", then --> Power Tools--> DWG exporter--> (choose the format and version)--> delete all the info about the name--> write (for example)"mycadplan" (do not write the extension), it is already in the line below

Check the image attached. If you experience problems, zip and send me your plan and I will check it

Well, I used saved 'print screen' as btmp and that's clearer than jpeg. Thanx for your help, Patricia. I guess I'll just use that. I don't see why Punch can't incorporate "save file as jpeg or bitmap for a customer to look at. That's the Floor Plan- the guts of the whole project. The 3d views are no problem. I tried the DWG viewers and 2 of the viewers won't open the DWG file (maybe a problem with the viewer). The other 2 will open it, but with a black background or a 'watermark' that can be removed if I buy the viewer. Do you know of a free viewer that will work?

Hi Mark,

You can use DWG TrueView, by Autodesk ( the manufacturer of Autocad)
