Hi Tony N and Happy Easter for you too,
Landscape tab--> fences--> Custom (properties bar)--> set the properties--> live view--> materials--> custom materials--> fences--> use the patterns in the same way as you use a texture --> color / texture as necessary
You can develop your own design with the fence designer (power tools)
Hope this helps

I am trying to draw a two foot high fence. I used fence designer and exported it into the material file. Problem is I can not draw a 2 foot tall fence to apply the pattern to. Most of the standard fences you can can not control the height (at least I can not figure out how). The custom fence puts fence posts which I do not want. I tried setting their size to 0, but that does not work. I appled the fence pattern to a 2 foot tall wall, but that does not look right.

Hi todoftempe,
Try this (see attached)
1 - Create you design with the fence designer (or you can use one of the models ready to use in Materials--> Custom Fences)--> set the properties--> length--> use the length of your fence or the length of the modules 2 - Design--> Unit of measure--> Precision--> 1/16" 3 - Draw you fence--> select--> select Custom--> set the height--> 24" (in your case)--. Set the post dims--> W= 1/8" and H= 1/8"--> Set the span with the same length you set the properties of your custom fence--> apply the material
Other interesting work around (without posts)--> draw a 2 rectangle in the 3D workshop with height= 24" and the length of your fence--> apply any of the Custom Fences
Hope this helps
