If you mean why the footing is not showing, this is because the Punch foundations don't appear in 3D

If a exterior wall is linked with other exterior wall, by default, both will share the same properties unless you change something

In your case, I'd suggest to draw the garage wall separately, set the properties (probably you should adjust the wall elevation, and this will set the foundation). To put the wall in right position, move it with the arrows in your keyboard, not with the mouse
