Hi Nook
Regarding question 2: With AS 4000, you can export your plans in a variety of formats
1- Print the plan, scan it, and save it as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.
2- Visualize your plan, and take a shot of the screen Print Screen-->Go to MS Paint--> Paste--> Trim the image--> Save as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.
3- If you have Acrobat writer (or you get a free PDF sw): Open the plan and ask for the option "Print to fit page"-->print to file -->select your printer as "Acrobat PDF writer". To trim or save as, you can do it in the Acrobat PDF reader. Also, you can Print to Scale, changing the size of the paper--> check my tutorial at http://www.punchhelpers.com/pdfprint.html
4 - Create your plan--> DWG exporter. Notice that in Punch, you don't "Save as DWG", you must "Export to" DWG files (Properties bar--> Power Tools--> DXF / DWG Exporter)
Hope this helps
