Hi Chris,
You can rotate a wall in the floor plan but you can't rotate a wall in the space. Anyway, the wall tool is not the best resource to simulate a beam in Punch, because it has not bottom / cap, it has only the vertical sides (in MLP 10.5 they have caps)
You can try this work around With the help of the freehand roof tool (Roofing tab--> 7th icon) draw a the plan of the beam--> set the same pitch of the main roof--> set the elevation so it will appear under the main roof--> apply colors, etc See attached
Of course, if you prefer, you can create a beam object with the 3D workshop and set it under the roof

Thanks for the suggestion. I was tempted, but my serial number was refused.
Strange, as I have a power tools tab...

Thanks Patricia,
I tried your suggestion of using a narrow bit of roof, but couldn't work out how to thicken it vertically.
When I finally got around to using the 3D Workshop properly I managed to make a very pretty beam and fit several copies in place - thanks.
Chris.
