Hi Dolly

Just some comments regarding video cards

I am an ATI card user since 2003. I have 2 cards, one in my main computer and other in my laptop
I have a third computer with the same configuration of the main, but with Nvidia VC

The difference between ATI and Nvidia is incredible. Not only Punch runs with full accelerations, but the ATI rendering results are amazing

However, in my experience, is not only the ATI VC, the ATI Catalyst drive also makes the difference. The fact is that, the VC of my laptop is not Catalyst enable (as most of the ATI VC for laptops), and I feel differences (for some complicated rendering in my laptop I must go down with the accelerations, for example)
I didn't see these issues with my main VC--> ATI Radeon Catalyst enable

Therefore, I'd suggest that you check this feature if you are going to buy an ATI card

This is what the GlobalComputers site says about the ATI Radeon X1300 Pro Graphics Card I am looking at. CROSSFIRE Designed from the ground up with GPU sharing in mind, this series allows you to get incredible gaming performance by adding a Crossfire Edition graphics card for ultra fast performance that works with all games, all the time. AVIVO Avivo redefines the ultimate visual experience for today’s PCs, and sets the stage for tomorrow’s exciting possibilities. Check your board for specific support of Avivo features. Avivo is a technology platform that includes a broad set of capabilities offered by ATI products. Full enablement of some Avivo capabilities may require complementary products. DirectX 9.0C Technology DirectX 9.0c improves the graphics, security, and performance of your operating system. Download and install this update for your Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP-based system. CATALYST ATI’s all-new CATALYST Control Center goes far beyond traditional driver configuration software—it’s a feature-rich and stable 3D acceleration control application that puts you in complete command of your ATI visual processing unit PCI Express Support PCI Express is a new Intel bus architecture that doubles the bandwidth of the AGP 8X bus, delivering over 4 GB per second in both upstream and downstream data transfers. GPU/VPU: Radeon X1300 Pro RAMDAC: Dual 400 MHz Fill Rate per Second: 2.4 billion pixels Vertices per Second: 600 Million Video Memory: 256MB Memory Type: 128-bit GDDR2 Core Clock: 600 MHz Memory Clock: 1000 MHz Interface Type: PCI Express Connector(s): DVI VGA (15-Pin D-Sub) VIVO It looks and sounds like a great card for $110.
