Hi kristenplo
Regarding your questions (instruction for the framing editor)
"The Framing editor seems to place joists along the longer dimension but I'd prefer them to be rotated 90 degrees and orient them along the shorter dimension"--> select the floor, or ceiling or pieces--> Edit (or right click)--> rotate--> write the angle
"Any joists I add do not show up on the 3D view"--> First, did you set the elevation of the new joists?--> Second, did you notice that you are adding areas with joists and not individual joists? therefore, if you trace a line with the joist tool, this is not a joist.
"Adding trusses between the roof rafters and the ceiling joists does not seem to be an option"--> There is a work around--> in the main program, draw you roof in two or more segments--> Framing editor--> right click--> roof properties--> select rafters or trusses as necessary

I am not finding the selection choice described.
Program only shows Rafters, wood rafters, steel, rafter materials, where is the Truss choice ?
Is it possible I need to start over by removing the roof design in place already ?
Thank You for Your Help.

Hi Jibby, You don't need to start over to select the trusses. Open the framing editor--> select the roof--> Roof Properties--> Framing option--> select trusses Patricia |
