Hi Tracie, The main roof is a simple gable roof. On the entrance you have a gable connector and the small roofs are also gable roofs You will find these roof tools in the Roofing tab Patricia |

I have a large ranch with with 2 wings on each end that are 90 degrees from tha main house. I'm using a hip roof on the main part of the house with hip extenders on the wings. The soffit and facia from the main house are visible from the inside of the wings. I want to put a tray ceiling in one of the wings but when you look at it in live view you see the facia in the ceiling. What have I done wrong?
Thanks Larry

Hi Larry Wolfe I'd suggest that you replace the main hip roof pieces using freehand roof part. In this way, as the main pieces will contour the wings, they will not penetrate in the wings Patricia |

Patricia, thanks for your help. Most of it works fine except the hip on the right side. I cannot get the ridge to match the main part of the roof. It sets about 8" lower than the main roof. No matter what I do it won't line up. Should I send you a copy of the drawing. I'm sure I'm missing something or my drawing is out of wack.
Thanks so much
Larry
