Hi Michael J.O'Sullivan,

Assuming you already developed the topography--> Create your driveways / sidewalks with several points (handles)--> select the driveways / sidewalks--> Edit--> Float Object Above Topography--> in this way, each point will float above the berms and other Topo objects, with different elevations if necessary
In order to create the handles, just left click with the mouse while drawing the driveway or, just use the (+) tool to add more points

Thank you for your reply, although I am still unable to get the drives and walkways to float above the topography,in some areas. The hardscapes appear to weave above and under the topo. I added more, much more, points along the drive so that it may grab onto the topo and yet nothing more happens. Is this a graphic problem? What am I not getting here?

Hi Michael J.O'Sullivan,

Nope, it is not a graphic problem, and it happened to me a couple of times. If you have many steep slopes, valleys, etc,and a small grid definition (in the Topo tool) you need to work with many points (at least with the same distance as the grid of the Topo tool), but sometimes this is not enough
What I do in these situations--> don't work with just one pathway--> create several pathways, starting them where you have really steep slopes
