Hi Steve ,

This is correct: the materials appear only in live view
Some resources
1 - Go to the detail tab--> trace a rectangle or polygon with the help of the shape tools--> fill with one of the patterns
2 - Browse the web--> you will find several websites providing free 2D patterns (DWG or DXF format)--> download a pattern --> import the pattern with the DXF / DWG Power Tool or with the Symbol Editor Power Tool
3 - Create a pattern module using the Symbol Editor Power Tool or using 2D lines in the 3D Custom Workshop
