Hi Nicole

To elaborate 2D views: Go to the LiveView window, and click one of the elevation buttons (four black triangles, third icon from the left, at the bottom of the screen). Set the zoom.

To render clear blue: On the View menu=> click Render ClearView or use the ClearView Tool (blue house on the upper toolbar)

Check the attached image for the location of these tools

Hope this helps

Dear Patricia, Thanks for the message. I have been able to do what you just described, but it gives me a shaded blue picture. I need help getting what is advertised on the Pro Platinum box as "2D Elevation" - this is a simple line drawing with no shading. Nicole

Nicole,

Did you try the Translucency Slider? It is located at the right of the four triangles (live view). With this tool you will control the the opacity of the ClearView image

Hope this helps

Yes, I tried the Translucency Slider and it is still shaded blue. Also, unlike the picture on the box, because the image is translucent, I don't just see the elevation, I see objects inside the house. Even with "hide 3d objects" selected, I still see the staircase, appliances, and kitchen cabinets. Thanks, Nicole

Nicole,

Can you tell me in what page of the manual is the elevation of your example?

I think Nicole might be trying to replicate the view that the box is showing from the 'Elevation Editor'

I want to use the CAD module to do simple elevations ... hopefully good enough fot the County Planning Dept. Is there any way to adjust the boldness/thickness of the CAD lines?

I need help redisplaying objects in my 2d plans. When on the floor plan, tables, stoves, etc. do not show. When I am on other tabs (e.g. electrical) These objects are part of the plan. How do I get objects back on the floor plan? Thanks.
