Hi Susan Copenhaver,

First and very important question: do you have Platinum 4.5.1 or Platinum 8.
If you have Platinum 4.5.1., you can't import CAD files.
If you have Platinum 8, yes, you can import the files. Try--> Power Tools--> DXF/DWG Importer. If you experience problems using this power tool, just let me know and I'll glad to help
