Unfortunately, Platinum version 8 doesn't resize automatically the accessories. But, you can try these tricks
1 - develop a faux wall with the size of the curtain shutters, etc--> put it in front of the window--> apply the accessory in live view
2 - develop a 2D shape with the help of the 3D workshop (a rectangle, for example) with the size of the curtain, shutters, etc--> set it in front of the window--> apply the accessory in live view
