There is a trick to develop a ceiling (assuming you are using a V6 program or up)

- Go to options--> screen colors--> set different colors for each tab
- Create a floor with the help of the floor tool--> don't unselect it--> edit--> move to plan--> (landscape, detail, etc)--> say you move it to the detail tab
- Going to the detail tab you will see the floor lines in one color and the walls in other color, so you can easily move, resize, elevate and create your ceiling
