I have a floorplan that is 31" above ground level. I need to illustrate the existing ramp it is 4' wide 16' long and has a level 4'x4' level area @ the front door.

When I print my floorplan in color, the dimention leaders are invisable. the dimention numbers do appear. When i then print the same floor plan in black and white the dimention leaders are visable.

Hi [email protected]

Yes, indeed. These are some resources to share your Punch plans (any version)

1 - You can export your floorplan to DXF in most versions and Export to DWG with versions 7.x, and up --> use Power Tools--> DXF / DWG Exporter

2 - Print the plan, scan it, and save it as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.

3 - Visualize your plan, and take a shot of the screen--> Print Screen-->Go to MS Paint-->Paste--> Trim the image--> Save as *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.

4 - If you have a PDF writer, you can create your own PDF files. Just follow this short tutorial
http://www.punchhelpers.com/pdfprint.html
There are many free PDF writers, go to www. download.com and perform a search with the keyword "free PDF'

5 - Other interesting (and free) resource is the DWF conversion. You can download the DWF writer for free in the Autodesk page and it works in the same way that the PDF writer. The recipient needs to install the DWF viewer (is free)
You can see more info about DWF printing in this page of my website

Hi Ken,

In order to find your post, you can use the Search button below--> perform a search using keyword --> Ken Robertson --> you will find your post --> http://forums.punchsoftware.com/WebX/.fad3889/0?14@@

Regarding the printing problem
First, be sure that all the layers are present If you are working in the floor tab (or electrical, etc), you will see a small black arrow at the right of the name (old versions). By clicking the small arrow or the name of the tab (new versions) a drop down menu will open with the names of the tabs --> you have the option of viewing or hiding other tabs. Just check all the names of the tabs)

For printing solutions and options, you can follow this tutorial in my website
http://www.punchhelpers.com/printingpunch.html

Let me know if you still have problems

I have drawn many projects with this program and had alot of sucess, but sometimes when I draw large projects and save them they will not print. I can reopen them and they show me everything that I have done but when I try to print them I get blank pages from the printer. When this happens I will try to test the printer and draw a quick easy drawing and it will print right away. It only happens every once and a while but usually on bigger projects with alot of detail. Any ideals.

Hi mikeconroy

In order to print, Punch collects all the info in the plan, so if you have any object (even a dot) in any corner, Punch will consider it as part of the plan and will print it --> in this case you'll see this as blank pages or blank space in the paper
To solve this, select the house -->Use the lasso (rectangular selection around the walls), don't use Select all--> Edit--> copy--> open a new (and empty) Punch file--> Paste--> try to print from this new file
