Hi

Can I copy a text box on my Framing Plan and insert it on my Floor Plan. My copy and paste places another copy on the Framing plan even though I had changed to the Floor Tab.

Thanks
Ron

Hi there,

when you post questions at the Forum, please inform the name and version number of your program (V15 or V18 or V20, etc)
Different programs and versions include different features, so we need the information in order to provide the correct solutions.

Hi there,

When you insert a text box, object, etc. this element's "address" is the tab where you create the element (in this case the Framing tab), so, if you wish to move / visualize this element in another tab or tabs, you have the following options:

1 - Move to another tab: Select the element => Edit => Move to Plan => Floor or Deck or another tab.
2 - Tab Visibility: Customize the visibility of your tabs (properties bar) => More about Customizing Visible Plans => User Guide - page 39

Note that components attached to the walls can't be moved to a different tab.

Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components and effects .

If you are interested, in my eBook for Windows V20 you will find lots of tutorials and resources.

Hope this helps.
